Radish Babies and Hot Potatoes

Hi guys. I have decided to have a sniff around the place this afternoon. Look at what I found:

A big blue punnet of growing radishes! These are just new born babies - only their leafy green hair has sprouted out of the seeds so far.

... and these various types of potatoes. These are fully grown now. I helped out by digging them up. As you can see, I'm practically an expert at this because of my paddle hands.

What I want to know is why the garden is all in boxes?? Now I wonder where the banana trees are?... ...

Puddle time with the dogs!

Hi guys. This morning I'm off to see my friends Winnie and Benji the poodleoos. They live up the hill near Mitch's parents. I think we're going to jump in puddles and just have a general play in the neighbourhood. I put my raincoat and rainhat on so that my fur doesn't get too muddy - and also because they can be quite slobbery.

I am actually a fashion designer, pattern maker, seamstress, model, embroiderer and milliner so this rainy day outfit is one of my own designs.

Bed time with my spotty eye mask

Hi guys. Mitch has dragged me along to her human parent's house for the weekend. I'm a bit annoyed because I was going to invite the new dog Piper from down the road over for dinner.
PLUS Mitch's human family are really whacko so I'm not putting up with it - I'm going straight to bed on this stripey couch. Ohghzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Meet Bili Chimple

Hi guys.

Meet my friend Bili.

Here he is at the airport getting ready for his first journey. He was a little bit nervous for the flight but he knew he was really lucky when I told him that I was squashed into Mitch's bag all the way from New York. You can read about his big flight here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1126657/Baby-monkey-given-seat-plane-human-passengers-flies-Germany-meet-new-mother.html

He called me today and told me that he has made it to his new home in Germany and enjoys sauerkraut and Kaffee every day and German cake (Kuchen) for Sunday afternoon tea. And there are lots of woods for him to play in.

My job guide (final part)

#6. After the interview, give yourself a rub behind the ears and treat yourself to a banana sundae!

My job guide (part 3)

#4. On the morning of the interview take lots of slow, deep breaths and try to relax by doing something that you like. For example, try watching some telly to take your mind off it.

#5. Once you are there just smile and be yourself.

Don't forget the golden rule: eat, sleep and breathe positive!

Good luck everybody!

Happy Australia!

Happy Australia everyone! I did what most orangutangles do - I went to the beach and played a long game of cricket, followed by a nice cool banana milkshake. Boy, will I sleep well tonight!

Cheese & Onion Sunday

It has been quite a busy morning guys:

First up, some breakfast in coolum. We went to the Caf @ Coolum and boy was it great. I had perfect poached eggs.

I ran into my friend little snowy and caught up on all the latest goss.

Then we had to get a few things across the road at the Supa IGA - one of Moley's favourites. I must say Mitch's human dad is quite good at grocery shopping - we are getting used to each other now. We picked up lots of cheese specials for the week.
Ooops - wrong trolley. Actually that reminds me - I need some onions....

Wait - help! I'm not for sale!

And we'll have fun, fun fun!

It was a big day at the beach:

I made a sandcastle wonderwold. As you can see my paddles mean I am much better at this than the the seagulls.

Went for a boogie.

Went for a dip. I'm a pretty good swimmer. Oooh eeeeeeeeeeeeaaaeeee!

And had a quick nap in the sun.

Look my fur has gone all curly!

Let's go surfing now!

Just checking out the waves. Mmmmm - looks pretty good.

I made it to the beach nice and early before the sun was too hot - if you're too late what happens is that you turn into a beetroot.

It was just me and the surfers.

Ooh I wanna take you down to Kokomo, we'll get there mmmmm mmmm mmmm mmmm mm mmmm . That's where we wanna goooooooooooo...

Banana time and tree top swinging!

Hi Guys. I am so luckiest Oranguangle ever. Today the storms stopped and Mitch came home early with 2 big bananas just for me!

It is really steamy today - i'm used to it though because that's what it's like in the jungle. I'm going over to help the twins. I'm going to swing in their trees to shake the water down to cool them down.

Thursday, January 22, 2009

Oh No! Mmmmm! Oh No! Mmmmm! Ooooheeeaaaaoooh!

Guys help! The storms are coming again and Mitch and Moley are no where to be seen! They always do this to me. All the cats are under their bedside tables, Lloyd and Sausage are tucked into bed and the twins are roaring around in the yard. I have assembled a bunker and have my helmet, my nappy, my adventure cap and my water supplies. But I'm only little - Moley, Mitch - where are you?!

Ice mountains and a double date on a scorcher

Hi Guys!

Today was a real scorcher. I was out in the back of Pamela's hot kitchen all day then I came home to another hot box. I decided to get out of my nappy and hop in the freezer for a cool down. There are really strange mountains growing in there - I could barely fit. Mmmmmm.

Tonight I'm going on a double date with me and Sasha (we made up) and Willow. We're probably going to have pizzas and go to the movies. Good afternoon ladies and gentleman, my name is Henry ...

Monday, January 19, 2009

Ommmmmmmmmmmm.

Half an hour of daily meditation can do an orangutangle a world of good. Ommmmmmmmmm. Ommmmmmmm. Ommmmmmmmmm. Ommmmmmmmmmmmm.

Surf's Up!

Look at me go! Orangutangles are born surfers - we're so good at paddling out past the breakers you see. Hang ten totally gnarly hot-dogging dude!

After my morning surf I had worked up such an appetite that I decided to make an omlette. I've watched Mitch & Moley make omlettes every single morning so I'm an expert omlette maker actually. Boy those early breakfasts with Moley and Mitch were really something.

Topless beauty

Hi guys. I felt like going topless today. It suits me don't you think? We're going for a swim this morning but Mitch is taking forever covering herself in sunscreen.

I'm not putting up with this! I'm going! Now which way is the beach again?

Help! I'm a Celebrity!

Moley loves to take me to Italy. This morning Mitch took me to Gibson’s for a latte and sticky date in Italy. Boy did I get some attention there!! I didn't know I had fans in Noosaville. One man even wanted to me to go home with him. I just showed him my teeth.

And all the magazines! Boy were Mitch and I in heaven!

Oh yeah hi guys it's Henry calling.

When I go to the beach I always make sure I call my fish friends. Seashells are the best way to do that because they never come up for air from under the ocean – they prefer it down in the ocean bed you see. I especially like to call in on my buddies Sebastian the Seal and Gillian the whale.

Peregian Beach and the Jimmeneys Crickets

Hi guys. It’s great to be back at Peregian beach.

Just catching up with my friends the Jimmeneys Crickets. They always have so much to talk about - they neeeeeeever shut up and they have long skinny jumpy legs.

PS - Mitch is going to be fine. Thanks to my medical attention and banana soup she's back on her two feet.

Mustard Mitch!

Poor Mitch – she has a mustard foot! She stood on a sewing needle and it went all the way in – only the mustard coloured cotton was hanging out! Oooooh eeeeooooaaaaheeeeoooooh! Luckily I used to be a doctor and a nurse so I am taking very good care of her. As part of my medical treatment I am prescribing bed rest and bananas.

Mix Master

So Sasha has been ignoring my text messages all day today. Mitch thinks she might be mad at me for last night. I guess you could say that.

Here I am on my way to Pamela's this morning. I have hands like paddles so I am her star mixer. Brownies are my favourite thing to make, I throw in raisins and everything.

Roley Poley Tuesday

I was planning on taking Sasha out for cheap Tuesday movies and pizza tonight. Sasha is a relatively new cat on the block and is a real cutie pie but as you can see she is also a roley poley handful. She is so roley poley that she just drops to the ground constantly no matter where she is. I'm not putting up with that tonight so I'm just going to have some of Mitch's lentils and then I'll probably go and have a gasbag with Sausage.

Just stuffing around

Oh hi guys.
I didn't have to go to Pamela's today so I just went over to Sausage's for tea and toast, then I just stuffed around all day really. Here I am in this great new basket that Moley picked out from the Ban Krut hardware store.

Culinary Carnival!

Today BJ Tiger and The Twins are coming over (all the others are scared of the twins) so I want to make a Jordanese culinary carnival like Moley had with the Achmeds: fresh lemon and mint juice, vine leaves (my favourite), mincef (tender lamb shanks), spinach triangles and fresh turkish coffee.

We might just have to have beans because look - the only thing Mitch has in the cupboard is watties baked beans. But we don't even have a can opener - MOLEY!!!!

Spring Clean Sunbake

Hi guys, I’m back. It’s been such a big week with Mitch coming back from holidays and everything. Today Mitch was doing a big spring clean. I even joined in for a little while but then I slipped on the wet kitchen floor!

After that I thought I'm not putting up with that spring cleaning so I decided to take Mitch’s new hat and just take it easy for the afternoon. Mitch doesn’t really like sunbaking because it hurts her skin but orangutangles have fur so we’re different.
Love Henry
